Airplane Pose for Kids:
Kids love to fly! Make airplane noises, make this pose fun for kids and help them to build balance and concentration through this one!
- Stand tall.
- Stretch your arms out to either side of your body.
- When you feel balanced, lean forward and lift one leg straight behind you.
- If you are stable twist your body to one side opening the chest and hips to the right (or left) – this is Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose). It is a nice transition for more advanced and older kids and it teaches them to control the balance in a difficult situation. In your storytelling, you can guide kids that their plane is turning right or left to change the Azymut.
- Repeat with the other leg.
Benefits:
Besides balance and concentration, it also helps kids strengthening their bodies and increases the body awareness.
